Co-operation in arctic technology

In 2004, five Finnish metal industry companies founded Oy SteelDone Group Ltd. Heightened interest in the arctic energy resources of the Barents area was a decisive factor in the decision to join forces, enabling long-term development and co-operation. Our business environment is a combination of strong knowhow in the metals industry, world-class technology, and values that are responsible and sustainable towards the environment. Located way up north, we are familiar with cold, harsh conditions and the demands they set to arctic technology.

The SteelDone Group supplies welded steel structures to Russia and Western Europe, combines total bids for customers, draws up contracts, and manages the project in the customer and partner network interfaces. The company also takes care of the consolidated procurement of steel materials for the projects. Moreover, the company collects market information, and, together with Russian key players, engages in active development of the associated companies and co-operation in general. Manufacture is for the most part the responsibility of machine shops, owned by the company's owner companies. Currently, we have offices in Oulu, Northern Finland, and in St. Petersburg in Russia.

The SteelDone Group holds extensive experience as a provider of high-quality metal industry services. Thanks to our comprehensive capacity and experience, we are able to provide demanding welded and machined structures and equipment, all the way from design to installation and turnkey deliveries. Our customers consist mostly of dockyards and other manufacturers and suppliers for the oil, gas and energy industries, including their offshore projects.
